Times: Beginner 6.00pm – 7.00pm, Improver 7.00pm – 8.00pm, Intermediate/ Advanced 8:00pm – 9:00pm
Venue: Education Room 1 Band on the Wall

Cost: Beginner £55 per course or two courses for £95
Courses are 8 weeks long so that you can build on technique, theory and learn material to develop your tapping to the next level. As always, sessions will be focused on your creativity and having fun while also learning new steps and routines.
The beginner class is suitable for people who are new to tap dancing and those that want to brush up in a fun and relaxed way.
The improver class is aimed at people with at least 1 year’s tap experience that are confident in their basic technique and want to further develop their skills. We will learn steps and ideas from Hoofing legends such as Jimmy Slyde, Chuck Green and mix this up with today’s new tap styles.
For those of you that have been tap dancing for at least 2 years, the intermediate/ advanced course will challenge your skills as you master complex choreography inspired by music styles and rhythm patterns from around the world.
Tap shoes are provided so you can just turn up and tap!

Whether you’re still fairly new to tap dance or want to brush up on your rhythm tap technique and style this is a fun course where you’ll get to grips with the Shim Sham routine, be introduced to improvising and the basic structure of jazz music, and master new challenging techniques. Suitable for beginners and improvers.
